Track & Field Summer 2011
The Mt. Pleasant Track Club Program is a more advanced level of competition encompassing all Track and Field events. It is still, however, for the beginner up to a high level of competition. It is open to all ages up to 18 as of December 31, 2011. The Club will be competing as United States of America Track and Field (USATF) member and will be competing in the Junior Olympic Program in meets throughout the summer. Practice schedule will be provided during registration.

Track & Field 2010 Highlights:

The MPTC had 26 State Champions and won nine of the twelve age groups. They also won both the Male and Female Divisions, to take home their 6th State Championship. Quinn Corrigan set a new meet record in the bantam Boys Javelin.

At the Regionals in Greensboro, NC, the MPTC had three Region Champions: Ethan Cocco in the Sub-Bantam Shot Put, AJ Gawryluk in the Youth 3000m, and Kaysee Sullivan in the Young Women's Shot Put. The MPTC qualified 7 athletes in 9 events for the Nationals to be held in Sacramento, California. We had two All-Americans: Sarah Lee, Youth Pole Vault, placed 4th in a height of 9' 4", and AJ Gawryluk in the Youth Boys 3000m, placing 6th in a time of 9:39. The other National qualifiers were: Noah Spencer (HJ and 1500), James Corgill (LJ), Caitlin Corgill (HJ), Kaysee Sullivan (Shot and Discus) and Dez Venning (Javelin).

  • Uniforms are $30.00 and are yours to keep!
  • Booster Club fee - There is a $60.00 fee per child ($55.00 per child for families with two children and $50.00 per child for families with three children) for the Club that handles materials (USATF card, entry fees, etc) Booster club fee is due at first practice.  If you are interested in being a pat of the Booster Club, please let Tami Know. the Booster Club's role is to handle fundraising.
  • Age group Information for 2011 Season. The program is divided into six divisions for boys and six divisions for girls. The athlete’s year of birth shall determine the division in which the athlete shall compete:
